Dr. Shawn, the LPC

Richarne A. Fuqua, is known as Dr. Shawn, THE LPC, a clinical Licensed Professional Counselor and co-founder of Ambassador Counseling & Resource Group and COO of the Licensed Professional Counselor Institute. Dr. Shawn knows about new beginnings as she has more than 20 years of experience working with families. She coaches other counselors and has developed PREP for the NCE, an interactive workshop designed to help counselors pass the National Counselor's Exam. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Dr. Shawn’s love of helping others led her to earn a Master’s degree in Counseling and her Ph.D. in Psychology fuels her research on social issues, cultural competence and family systems. She has dedicated her life to helping others, through counseling, academic instruction, and through community service. Her personal mantra of “Build, Believe, & Go Beyond”, not only serves as a blueprint for her counseling approach, but represents the foundation for her own life.
